Junior Teams

Jersey Wanderers run a vibrant Junior Section for 12 – 18 year old's that is focused on the development of players in a safe and fun environment. Our aim is to support our footballers by developing their technical and tactical abilities as they progress through our player pathway into Senior Football.

Our ethos and mentality runs throughout the club and is implemented from the moment you put on a Jersey Wanderers shirt. We firmly believe that our standards not only mould great footballers, but great people too!

Our coaching delivery is designed to increase the number of touches of the ball, develop confidence and skill in 1v1 situations. This allows our players to seamlessly progress into the full 11v11 format of the game, while assisting with the long-term player development of our young footballers.

Junior Girls

The establishment of our Junior Girls squad reflects the interest and passion for football amongst young females in Jersey. Since holding our first training session back in 2019, we’ve grown in size and strength and now proudly boast teams at every age group from U10-U16 who compete in the local leagues and cups in their respective age groups. Our Junior Girls set-up provides a direct pathway into our Open-Age Women’s squad (16+), transfering exciting club-nurtured Junior talent into our Senior football offer.

Proudly supported by Hawk Group, we are always looking to expand our Junior Girls section and welcome all abilities from school years 4-11. We train on Monday/Wednesday evenings 18:00 - 19:15 at JW Park (summer/spring) and Les Quennevais School/Haute Vallee School 3G pitches (autumn/winter). Our Junior Girls are fortunate to have the dedication from so many passionate and enthusiastic coaches each season:

U18s

JWFC are delighted to reestablish a U18 Team to play in the JFA Combination League in the 2025/26 season. As the final step of the pathway between Junior and Senior football, this age group is a pivotal resource of young talent and strengthening sustainability of our open-age adult football offer.

With the success of several league championships in past seasons, JWFC are aiming to challenge for trophies as well as providing that all important development pathway for players to experience Senior Men’s football through Reserves and First Team appearances.

U16s

Sponsored by EWG, we have an exciting pool of talented players forming the U16 Team, many of which have developed through the age groups since joining our great club at the start of their football careers. The friendly and competitive environment supports our player’s progress through Junior into Senior Football in seasons to come. Supported passionately by Neil, Gary and Dougie, our U16 players are afforded with quality, player-centred football environments week-in, week-out.

U14s

An exciting season for our U14 squad as they formally experience consistent 11v11 competitive football for the season ahead. Passionately led by coaches John, Rod and Bradley, the team will look to build confidence from their development and successes as they aim to be competitive in the JFA Combination League.

U13s

JWFC’s Junior U13s are a talented and competitive group who are excited to kickstart another busy season as they enjoy weekly football within two different league structures. Their weekly training sessions and matchdays, led by Warren, Terry and Ryan, provide progressive and essential playing opportunities for our players to refine their technical and tactical abilities. U12s

We are so proud to host two teams within our U13 squad who offer different levels of competition for our developing players. Currently playing 9v9 football within the Jersey FA U13 and U14 leagues, our coaches facilitate exciting and supportive environments for our players to refine their skills within.
