Senior Teams
Senior football is the final product of our pathway, as players transition into adult 11v11 format football from our mini and junior set ups.
JWFC offer senior footballing opportunities within the Jersey Football Association’s local competitive leagues. We boast a Women’s First Team, a Men’s First Team, and a Men’s Reserve Team. You must have reached your 16th birthday to be eligible for open age senior football.
Women’s First Team
The emergence of women’s football on the world scale is mirrored with the ambition of JWFC Women’s First Team. Currently competing in the JFA Women’s league and cups, we are one of a select few clubs on the island who offer a senior female pathway.
We believe that everybody with an interest in football should have an opportunity to participate. Females of all abilities, from brand new players to those who have competed at higher levels, are welcome with open arms by the JWFC senior side. Expertly led by Charlie Balcombe and Ashley Whitfield, the team train twice a week (Monday and Wednesday evenings), with matches on Sunday mornings.
We are always keen to hear from new players and developing our squad. For more information on how to get involved, please email: jerseywanderers@gmail.com
Men’s First Team
Chris Gill (Manager) and Sam Quail (Assistant Manager)
Competing in the JFA Premiership, our Men’s First Team offers a platform for our male players to play at the highest local level and is the target for aspiring youngsters coming through the junior pathway.
The squad train twice a week and play the majority of fixtures on Saturday afternoons. By playing fast, attractive football, the focus for this energetic team is to challenge for the league title and add some more cup silverware to the club’s decorated history.
Men’s Reserve Team
George Salaun (Manager), Dom Roscouet (Assistant Manager) and Tony Salaun (Coach)
Often faced with the challenge of an ever changing pool of players available, the Men’s Reserves squad provide valuable support to the First Team. By training both squads together, the objective is to nurture a common playing style and team ethic across both sides. For more information on how to get involved, contact jerseywanderers@gmail.com.
